Money has gone to Habitat for Humanity

This one is very late....sorry!

The money has been passed over to Habitat for Humanity to build houses in Nepal that will house families in need! With just one loaf of bread we were able to accomplish great things, Thank you to Grey Lynn School, parents, Habitat for Humanity and others who supported us along the way to get to our final destination. Sleep out Sold!

As you know, lately we have been trying to sell the With One Loaf sleep out. We have put it up on Trade Me several times but unfortunately it didn't sell. Then this Monday it finally sold! We were all really happy and excited. It was just in time as the end of the school year was getting closer. More details to come.

Here we are talking to Sadie....

Sadie is currently in Nepal helping with the relief. She was there when both earthquakes hit and talked to us about her experience. Also, she shared with us about how the Nepalese are dealing with the traumatic event. Here is a pic of us skyping with her and some pictures that she took that capture what she saw.

After the recent tragedy in Nepal, With One Loaf crew want to sell the Sleep Out and use the funds to build a house in Nepal. With the help of Habitat for Humanity, we're going to see our goal realised.

Here are the children with their new t-shirts. Thanks to Nick from Machine Signage for designing the shirts and printing the for us!

'Withoneloaf' teams up with Habitat for Humanity

'Withoneloaf' donated their toilet to Habitat for Humanity hoping that they could find a family in need of one. Katherine from Habitat for Humanity came in to speak to the children about what Habitat do and how they provide services to those in need. Here is a photo of that session.

I can confirm that the toilet did find a desperate family in need :)

New Trade!!!

We now have a Sleep out! Thank you to the amazing NZMA for trading a Sleep Out for our Kitchen. Cherry went to check out the work site where the NZMA students built the Sleep Outs and finalised the trade for the class. Here are some photos of the trade.

Thanks Steven for showing us around and finalising the trade.  We're also super excited and hope that with Christmas and summer just around the corner, someone will snap this up fast for our next amazing trade. Thank you again... #withoneloaf team

Moving the kitchen!!! Aweomse way to start the weekend :)

Had an awesome morning with a few of the champion fathers from in our class! Thank you for taking out the time to come and help us move the kitchen this morning; Brian and Koen, Matt B., John with Greta and Lola, Onny, Matt T. and Nick with Emily. Thanks to Gerard Tilleyshort (in picture with Kassidy) and his family for trading their kitchen with us! Also, thanks to Chris (in picture) and his team from Storage King Grey Lynn for generously offering the truck and storage space, you're a champ!
